Ghonim: Egypt launches first official website that uses open source

The Supreme Judicial Commission has put up a new website in Egypt that offers its citizens the ability to read amendments to its constitution. Referendum.eg offers information about voting and the rights and duties of citizens.

Notably, the site is buit upon an open source content management system, Joomla. Wael Ghonim, the Google employee who played a role in Egypt’s revolution, shared the news on Tuesday.
